Brodix SB Ford ST-5.0 "R-Series" Cylinder Head (60cc)

These Brodix ST 5.0 "R-Series" cylinder heads for small block Ford feature the latest state of the art technology. They are designed for smaller cubic inch engines that accept a 1.940" diameter intake valve. The cylinder heads feature a 60cc combustion chamber, 171cc intake runners, angled spark plug location and a standard intake port location. They use a standard-style exhaust flange that is raised approximately a 1/2" taller than stock and will accept standard header flanges.

Out of the box, completely assembled ST 5.0 series heads produce a fifty horsepower increase over other stock heads and the combustion chambers may be milled into the mid-50cc range. The Brodix ST 5.0 "R series" heads allow the use of 7/16'' aftermarket roller rockers.

Every casting is poured from A-356 virgin aluminum and tested before Brodix utilizes their in-house processes such as finish machining and heat treating to assure that you receive the best products for your hard-earned money. Other features include a thick deck surface that is compatible with nitrous, drilled and tapped holes on the ends for standard drive accessories, phosphorous bronze valve guides and hardened valve seats installed for unleaded fuel.

NOTE: Today's more aggressive hydraulic roller camshafts typically experience valve float at 6000-6200 RPM because of their fast ramp rates. FlowTech Induction upgrades the standard Brodix springs with LS style, small diameter dual springs with higher pressure to reduce chances of valve float.
