Melling Select SB Ford 302 Oil Pump
Melling's years of experience are apparent in these Performance oil pumps. They boast a CNC machined body and cover and hardened steel gears that are up to 25 percent longer, providing additional flow to performance engines with wider bearing clearances. The drive and idler shafts have been extended into the cover to provide additional support, to eliminate dynamic shaft deflection.
Stock volume performance upgrade for Melling M-68 pump. Gerotor set assembled to an extended driveshaft that allows for additional support in the cover. Supporting the driveshaft in both the housing and cover eliminates dynamic shaft deflection at increased RPM levels. The cover is doweled to the pump housing to assure alignment of shaft bores. The housing and cover are CNC machined and phosphate coated for wear and rust prevention. The relief valve has a pressure adjustable screw-in plug instead of a cup plug. Works with the original bolt-on pickup screen assemblies. Uses 5/8" bolt on screen.
