These AFR 180cc intake port small block Chevy "Eliminator" cylinder heads feature high flow intake ports, fast burn combustion chambers and an L98 angle spark plug design. The AFR "Eliminator" series 180cc L98 cylinder heads feature fully profiled 65cc combustion chambers, 180cc intake port volume and 64cc exhaust ports. Our typical 3/4” thick head deck which is ideal for nitrous or blower applications. Standard valve configuration features lightweight stainless steel 2.020" intake and 1.600" exhaust diameters with 8mm valve stems and hardened ductile iron interlocking valve seats. The exceptional flow characteristics, ideal operating range of idle to 5500+ RPM. Higher RPM ranges possible depending on combination of parts.

Factory 23° valve angle and standard valve spacing make this the perfect street aluminum cylinder head for 327-355 cubic inch engines from 1955-1986. No special parts are required. Dual valve cover bolt pattern is standard. Exhaust port is raised .10" over factory GM L98 cylinder heads.

NOTE: Modern hydraulic roller camshafts typically experience valvetrain instability at approximately 6200-6400 RPM because of their fast ramp rates. We suggest you upgrade your valve springs to AFR part #8605 or one of our PAC Racing options with higher spring pressures. All out racing applications should consider using AFR's patented “Hydra Rev Kit” to reduce chances of valve float associated with 6200 or higher RPM ranges.
