The Airflow Research 1041 "Eliminator Series" cylinder heads feature fully ported 195cc intake runners, 65cc combustion chambers and 64cc exhaust ports. Trademark 3/4” thick head decks which are ideal for nitrous or blower applications. Standard valves are lightweight 2.050" intake and 1.600" diameter exhaust valves with 8mm stems coupled with AFR’s hardened ductile iron interlocking valve seats for longevity. The exceptional flow characteristics, ideal operating range of 2000 RPM to 6500 RPM.
The AFR 1041 cylinder heads contain the center intake manifold mounting bolts at a 72 degree angle. These 195cc intake port small block Chevy cylinder heads feature an L98 angle spark plug location. Exhaust port is raised .100 over GM L98 cylinder heads.
The standard 23° valve angle and standard valve spacing make this the perfect street head for 350 to 400 cube engines. No special parts are required. Dual valve cover bolt pattern is standard.
Emissions legal from 1969-94 with heat riser (CARB EO #D-250-2)
Will not fit 1986-1991 Chevrolet Corvette with factory aluminum heads. Cylinder heads are not compatible with self-aligning rocker arms. Two center intake manifold bolts are at 72° angle for 1987 and up engines.
NOTE: Modern hydraulic roller camshafts typically experience valvetrain instability at approximately 6200-6400 RPM because of their fast ramp rates. We suggest you upgrade your valve springs to AFR part #8605 or one of our PAC Racing valvetrain options with higher spring pressures. All out racing applications should consider using AFR's patented “Hydra Rev Kit” to reduce chances of valve float associated with 6200 or higher RPM ranges.
