FTI Custom Camshaft Retainer Plate & Roller Bearing - (SB Ford)
This is a custom machined steel camshaft retainer plate is designed for use with Rollmaster CS3071 or similar timing chain sets featuring a Torrington roller thrust bearing.
Because of the self-contained Torrington roller thrust bearing, stock cast iron Ford cam retainer plates and hex head fasteners cannot be used. This special retainer plate has the proper modifications and specific hardware to allow for a trouble free installation of these racing timing sets with rollerized top sprockets.
Minimize distributor movement, camshaft end play and timing sprocket wear with this rollerized camshaft retainer plate kit. Works with solid roller, hydraulic roller and billet steel or SADI camshaft cores. Highly recommended for use with solid flat tappet camshafts to maintain lifter to cam lobe location.
Features two small oil feed holes for spray lubrication of the thrust surfaces and timing chain links.
Loctite is recommended for fastener retention. These cam retainer plates are "built to order" and may take a couple of days for all machining to be completed before shipping.
