FTI 1087-HR-V3 Hydraulic Roller Camshaft - (SB Ford Windsor)

Due to the huge demand for this classic camshaft, we've managed to bring back the famous "1087" profile but with a few modern day improvements. Though the early "1087" camshafts were sold under many names and variations, this "1087-V3" version has been revised and updated to provide more horsepower potential.
This latest version of the "1087" camshaft will work with factory Ford computers with minor modifications and tuning. Ground on the well proven, high quality Lunati austempered (SADI) iron cores and will require a coated steel or OEM style steel distributor gear. Early distributors with cast iron gears for flat tappet cores will need to be replaced with aftermarket coated steel gears.
Works best with aftermarket intake manifolds, performance cylinder heads, long tube headers coupled with free flowing mufflers and exhaust system. Excellent torque and HP gains in the mid-range with a strong, usable broad power band. This camshaft grind has a proven record of success in many old school 5.0L Mustang combinations.
