Mr. Gasket Ultra-Seal Header Gaskets - (SB Chevrolet)
Mr. Gasket Ultra-Seal exhaust gaskets are designed and constructed to improve the sealing of exhaust header flanges. Unlike standard exhaust gasket material, Ultra-Seal gaskets incorporate a graphite impregnated facing and a steel expanded metal core that reinforces and increases their tensile strength. This allows the gaskets to conform to warped flanges, giving them better sealing capabilities without deteriorating or cracking under the excessive heat and pressure that's common in exhaust systems.
Ultra-Seal Gasket Details:
- Expanded steel core provides stability and torque retention to eliminate gasket failure
- Graphite facing provides heat resistance & thermal conductivity transferring heat away from the cylinder head
- High recovery material allows header flange to stay sealed if flange loses clamp-load
- Can be trimmed for modified exhaust port applications
